Hello! My name is Sydney Flanscha. Hailing from Northwest Iowa, my love for sewing was born in the Dordt University costume shop. I've been working in the sewing industry ever since, but have recently become an independent seamstress. In December of 2023 I married my best friend, Alec Flanscha, and we began operating Flanscha Fabrics out of our little two-story house in Marengo, IA.

I've found myself working on a variety of sewing projects, from hemming, garment restoration, and crafting my own ideas and designs from scratch. I find repairing clothes to be a very rewarding method of combating the fast fashion industry.
